Covenant Relationship #5

Jesus came to this earth for you and me. Luke 19:9-10 Jesus said “Salvation has come to your house today. For the Son of man is come to seek and save that which was lost.” The religious leaders of that day couldn’t understand what was happening. They thought he was going to be a pious king on a throne and rule the world. Instead he came as a simple carpenter’s son and lived among the common people. It was the whole gospel to the whole world. He came teaching kingdom concepts.

He chose disciples from common folks like fisherman, tax collectors even a doctor to preach the gospel. He was teaching them how to pray and fast. How to pray for the sick and how to trust in Him for their every need. When Jesus left they were fully equipped.

Luke 4:33-37, 8:26-36 Jesus cast out demons people think that doesn’t happen anymore but I have seen it with my own eyes)

Matthew 9:27-31 Jesus opened blind eyes. It still happens today.

John 11:41-45 Jesus raised the dead. It still happens today.

Luke 8:22-25 Jesus calmed the storm. Prayer still works today.

He multiplied the fishes and fed multitudes of people and turned water into wine. Nothing is impossible if we believe!

Why would Jesus do all these miracles in front of so many people. No one had ever done what Jesus did! The priests of that day literally tried to stop it because it made them look bad, they couldn’t understand it! . When Jesus started having thousands of people following Him and many people got healed of many things the priests literally lost control.

But the question still remains, why? It was to show us the possibilities. If we will believe in Jesus Christ you can be healed, you can be delivered, your blind eyes can be opened physically and spiritually and you can be raised from the dead again physically and spiritually. Nothing is impossible!

Jesus told many parables.

Matthew 18: 11-14 The parable of the Lost sheep lets us know to what great lengths he will go to save us. He loves us so much that he leaves the 99 sheep and brings home the one sheep that was lost.

Matthew 13:1-23 He speaks of the sower of seed. This is letting us know the some seed fell by the way side and the birds ate it. Some seed fell on good ground. Some fell on stony ground and had no root. Here Jesus says “he that hath an ear let him hear”. Listen to the word and let it take root in your heart!

Luke 10:35-37 The Good Samaritan. We must have compassion for others. We must love with Jesus’ love. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only son.

Jesus is showing us that we can believe in the miracles! We can believe in deliverance! We can believe and obey the word of God!

Today when you have time go back and read the listed scriptures.

Your prayer for today: Lord I want to know you more and more! Show me your word, make it clear to me. Give me courage to do your will, whatever that may be.
