Covenant Relationship #7

Covenant Relationship #7

I know it seems we aren’t talking about being in Covenant relationship anymore but I can assure you we are still studying it. When Jesus came to earth as a common man he performed miracles that no one had ever seen before. He told stories (parables) that no one had heard before. All of it was showing us that we can have a miracle healing. His parables shows us the thought process we should have in order to enter the Kingdom of Heaven . Such as: The parable of the seed says we have to be good ground (we have a choice) in order for the spiritual seed to grow. The parable of the hidden treasure and the pearl of great price shows us how important the “kingdom of Heaven” is.

(Matthew 13)
Hidden Treasure
44 ¶ Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.
A Costly Pearl
45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:

46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

I have really been pondering what “Kingdom of Heaven” means. My thoughts were: It’s simply heaven but the question kept nagging me what is it? I found out it so much more complex than just heaven!

Research says this: The "Kingdom of Heaven" (often used interchangeably with "Kingdom of God") refers to God's reign and rule, both present in the hearts of believers and a future, ultimate reality, characterized by righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

• Present Reality:
The Kingdom of God is not just a future event, but a present reality manifested in the lives of those who follow Jesus, characterized by the Holy Spirit's power and influence.

• Future Fulfillment:
The Kingdom of God will be fully realized when Christ returns and establishes His reign on earth, bringing about a new heavens and a new earth.

• Spiritual Emphasis:
The Kingdom of Heaven emphasizes the spiritual dimension of God's rule, focusing on the transformation of hearts and lives, rather than a purely earthly or political kingdom.

• Righteousness: Living in accordance with God's will and principles.

• Peace: Experiencing inner tranquility and harmony with God and others.

• Joy: Finding happiness and fulfillment in a relationship with God.

That makes me excited! I know it really is a no brainer but then it isn’t! There are many layers to the “Kingdom”! As the word Kingdom implies, there must be a King and His name is Jesus!
Jesus must be King in your life. It is mandatory that we read His word every day. We must converse with Him every day in prayer. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 states “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing” As you go about your day talk to the Lord. Big decisions, little decisions talk to the Lord! When I can’t find my shoes I pray! lol people have said “He doesn’t care about the little things” but I beg to differ! He keeps up with the number of hairs on your head Matthew 10:30. How much more does he care about you.

I heard a preacher talk about the name of Jesus and how powerful it is but he added to that. He said when the Kingdom of God/Heaven reigns in your life then you have increased Spiritual Authority.

With all that said, no matter where you are in your walk with God, you have to do more! Just like the rich young ruler in Mark 10 came to Jesus asking how to inherit eternal life, we have to be willing to follow Jesus where-ever that may lead. Jesus told him, go sell all your possessions, give the money to the poor, Then come back and follow me! How much would he have gained spiritually if he had done that? But he loved his possessions more! He went away sad!
As humans, we are all so concerned with status and material things (1 John 2:16) so much so that we lose sight of the most important thing, our TREASURE, our PEARL OF GREAT PRICE!
I want to be sold out for Jesus! I don’t care what the world thinks! I have heard it all! “You don’t have to be so fanatical!” “You should do what you want!” “You don’t have to go to church every Sunday!”
I might get to Heaven and the Lord say “you didn’t have to do all that!” And that will be ok with me! I don’t want to go to hell!
The definition of eternity is this: Imagine a steel ball the size of the earth and once a year a little tiny bird will come by and brush that steel with its wing. When the ball is rubbed away, eternity hasn’t even begun!
Our mind can’t comprehend the magnitude of eternity! I’m just telling you how I feel. I don’t care what I have to do, I CANNOT MISS HEAVEN!
I know people that have literally told me “what I don’t know won’t hurt me.” But that is simply not true! That is a lie from hell! I must know the complete truth!

I know we didn’t get very far today but I do feel this message came from God! I sit down with a subject to write about and it evolves into something that could have never come from me and for that I am so thankful! I also know today is a little intense but I will not apologize! I need to know the truth in the word of God and I need to know how powerful it is to be apart of the Kingdom of Heaven! And so do you!

Our prayer today: God help me know your word! Open my ears to Your truths and let me follow You without reservation! Give me courage to stand up for biblical truth! In Jesus name!
